PROTEL ADVICE

PROTEL ADVICE

PROTEL ADVICE

(OP)
Hello,

I am new to Protel and I was wondering how to draw or create components that are not in the libraries and, also to add a sheet to a dwg.

I am on 2004 sp4

RE: PROTEL ADVICE

What the hell?!  They don't come out with service packs but once a year (if we're lucky) when their product had bugs galors.  So they rename it, charge extra money, and suddenly they have 4 service packs in the span of as many months?  Something's wrong with this picture...

Anyway, look in the docs directory... there's an "OK" tutorial on how to create your own components.  It's not full-featured, but it gives you enough info to muddle your way through some of the more difficult components.

Oh, and as far as adding another sheet... simply create a new drawing (File->New Sheet, yadda yadda yadda) and add it to the project.

Thank you very much!

I was doing the new dwg thing, but I was sure that I was doing the wrong thing - thanks for straightening me out.

I will go through that tutorial right away.
