Wind provisions in BOCA '99

Wind provisions in BOCA '99

Wind provisions in BOCA '99

(OP)
Does anyone know if BOCA '99 folows the AISC 7-98 wind provisions or does the code have its own wind provisions?

RE: Wind provisions in BOCA '99

BOCA 99 refers to both ASCE 7-93 and 7-95.  Chapter 35 of BOCA lists which sections of ASCE 7 apply where....its somewhat confusing.

But generally the wind and seismic provisions apply to 7-93.

The code lets you choose whether to use the wind provisions that are self-contained within BOCA 99 or use the ASCE 7-93 provisions.
