P IV Weld Designation

(OP)
I have a customer drawing with the weld designation P IV. I do not know what this stands for. Any ideas? I can't ask the customer for reasons I can't go into here.

Thanks

RE: P IV Weld Designation

Refer: ANSI/AWS A2.4-93 "Satandard Symbols for Welding, Brazing and Nondestructive Examination".

A quick check does not show a "P IV". It may refer to a process, examination requirement or weld class.

Check www.aws.org
