Storm Sewer Unclogging Spec

Storm Sewer Unclogging Spec

(OP)
Have an existing storm sewer project, need to specify a method to unclog, clean, flush and legally dispose of the sediments and debris. Is there any web link or ideas from your experience might like to share?

RE: Storm Sewer Unclogging Spec

Just write down what you want to happen.
1. Remove all forgiegn mater from storm drains by hydro-jet cleaning or other approved method. ( these may be bucket machine scrapper. afterwards the line still must be jhydro-jet cleand.)
2. All water and materials must be removed and disposed of in a proper manner.
3. All drains must be closed circuit televised. The inspection shall be recorded in DVD format and submitted to owner for payment. The DVD shall be acompanied by inspection report noting any and all defects in the line. Tving shall be done with NO flow in the pipe.

Appreciate your comments. Thanks.

A good industry reference is The National Association of Sewer Service Companies (NASSCO). They have assembled various handbooks covering this very topic. You can access these at www.nassco.org
