Braking Resistors

Braking Resistors

(OP)
I am looking to track down a specific braking resistor manufacturer (called Elcon I believe....hope spelling is correct), but just can't seem to find anything via the web. Maybe someone here knows the contact details for the company I am looking for. If anyone does it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks to all.

RE: Braking Resistors

I beleive that Elcon is one of the many companies bought out by Tyco Electronics. Try searching for their high power resistors.

Thank you jraef and blacksea.
Jraef....do you know if the Elcon that was purchased by Tyco is infact a manufacturer of braking resistors, or are they perhaps a different company?
If you know it would be great.
Blacksea...tried the web for a long time now and can't find this company. Thanks for your assistance.

I contacted Tyco/Elcon....happen to be not the company asn they do not manufacture resistors.
Any other out there with possible info on this company I am looking for?

RE: Braking Resistors

Are you tied to Elcon for some reason? Cressall Resistors have a pretty big range and will undertake custom work.

RE: Braking Resistors

No, I didn't know if it was the same Elcon, I just knew that Tyco sells braking resistors, ansd I remembered that I used to buy something from Elcon some time ago, and was directed to Tyco. Looks like it probably isn't the same group you are looking for though, sorry. But did you find this group within Tyco? With their being such a large conglomerate it is easy to connect to the wrong sub-group, and the one not know that the other even exists.

Hi Laundry. Thank you for your post. Got a question.
Is the phone number you provided correct, doesn't seem to work...can you verify(maybe one too many digits)...and also the company name.
Where is this company located? Country/city.
