I want to use astm a 252 in 48" OD pressure vessel. Is it suitable.
And I couldnt find max. allowable stress values of astm a 252. How can I find.
Could anyone help me.

metengr is right. A252 is not listed in ASME Section II Part A. Therefore, we should not use this material for pressure retaining components.

ASME requires an extra testing,and most of the pipe mfrs have dual pipe stencil, so your pipe may aalready be accepted ASME contruction if the stencil shows the accepted spec.
the stress in that pipe is the same as erw material so it is in the 12.8 to 14.6K
