Fatal Error when using HP deskjet 1220c as plotter

(OP)
I recently started using a HP Deskjet 1220c on my non-networked desktop station. When I try to change the page setup from normal plotter size to 11x17 I get a fatal error message and ACAD teminates. I have had no problems with any other printers up to this point. Can anybody help?

RE: Fatal Error when using HP deskjet 1220c as plotter

Try changing the paper size to 'Tabloid 11 x 17' that would probably do it.

RE: Fatal Error when using HP deskjet 1220c as plotter

If you are using any of the AutoCAD 2002 series -> they have just released Service Pack 1, so you might want to update.  Fixed many problems for me.  NOTE: The original CD must be in the drive when you update.

RE: Fatal Error when using HP deskjet 1220c as plotter

If you're still having this problem, try going to HP.com to download the acad drivers for the plotter.  I had the same problem in acad14, when I used the 1220c as the "system plotter", using the windows driver to plot.  After D/L'ing the hp drivers for acad, it worked great.  I haven't tried the driver in other versions of acad.

Good luck,
Havis Davenport
