Opening files....where is it?

Opening files....where is it?

Opening files....where is it?

(OP)
Not sure how well know this is, but if you drop in a file name with a full path. It doesn't matter what working directory you are in, that file will be opened.

For example; you bring a part that wasn't on your search part or in your work dir. in to a assy. You create a inf file of the assy... with display_full_object_path  yes in your config.. so that the full path does get written in these inf files... you save the assy.

Two weeks later you open it up and it and get the component is missing error..... quick fix>find component... instead of dir surfing around... you open that inf file copy and paste that component name .. with the full path   into the name ... open.. it will find it ...so long as that name is still valid... you're are resolved !!...no hunting around for it.

It works pretty much on all windows apps.
