Heat exchangers with double walls

I'd like to size a HX with double-walled tubes. There would be two separate header sheets and each tube would be inside another tube.

Is there any way to do it in B-JAC?

Thank you.

RE: Heat exchangers with double walls

The last time I used B-Jac, all configurations were relative to the TEMA standards.  As was also HTRI.  Good luck on finding the configuration.  But then, why do you need to do it on a computer program?  Why no do it the old fashioned way - manually.  I would trust the manual method more, since it is transparent in its logic and algorithm.  B-Jac and other computer programs aren't.

Unfortunately, I cannot allow me the luxury to perform hand calculations. Given the number of exchangers I have to size on a daily basis, hand calculations would just be... not very productive!

I'll circumvent the problem by using an equivalent thickness for the inner tube.

Thanks anyway.
