Explosive limits
Explosive limits
(OP)
Can someone help refresh my memory on calculation fo Explosive limits? I have a 200 cubic foot enclosure. What volume of Isopropyl aclohol liquid would I vaporize to get to 2.5%V/V in that enclosure.
Thanks in advance for your help on this.

RE: Explosive limits
n=m/MW
m=PxVxMW/RxT
The "partial volume" of IPA = 200 x 0.025 = 5 ft^3.
at 60 F and 14.7 psia
m=(14.7 psia)(5 ft^3)(60.09 lb/lbmole)/[(10.73 ft^3 psia/lbmole/R)(520 R)]
m=0.8 lb
Good luck,

RE: Explosive limits
how is the LEL (lower explosion limit) and MOC (maximum oxygen content) affected by temperature.
I could find data at room temperature, but I am looking for the 250°C temperature.
