sketches not visible in part

(OP)
I'm working with a park from a sister company and found some strange settings and annoyances.  The biggest PITA is that once you create a sketch, and rebuild the assembly (not making it a feature) it appears to be hidden (ie is not visible).  By double clicking on it in the tree it shows itself but once unselected it vanishes again and none of the points / entities on it seem to be selectable as references on any other sketch or feature.  I'm guessing this is a setting somewhere but so far its been elusive.

any suggestions?

RE: sketches not visible in part

On the menu bar select View and then select Sketches. This will allow you to view all the sketches in your assy.

Don't worry about people stealing your ideas. If your ideas are any good, you'll have to ram them down people's throats.
