I'm trying to find a piece of HVAC equipment that can provide DX cooling, and heating via gas or electricity. The application is for an apartment/hotel suite, with a ducted supply and return air system, sized for about 500 - 1000 CFM. It would basically be a typical hotel room PTAC, but with gas or electric heating, and a duct system. Has anyone ever since a product like this?

RE: decentralized htg/clg equipment

Venmar makes a classroom HRV that provides approximately 1200 CFM, which can be ducted.  (The condensing unit for DX cooling is remote though).

look into Daikin

I've found what I was looking for from National COmfort Products, with their CPE and CPG series
