(OP)
hello engineers

I have a workshop feeded from diesel generator and i will order a distribution panel and i have a question, shall i use double pole circuit breaker for the single phase loads?

RE: double pole circuit breaker

What voltage are you feeding the workshops at? What grounding strategy is employed? Under which jurisdiction? Tell us more about the installation: you could be talking anything from solid-grounded 415V to impedance-grounded 11kV or more. It matters.

Assuming, and it is a big assumption since you didn't give any details, that you are talking 415V or similar, why would you expect to need double pole breakers? Normally the neutral is solidly earthed.
