Tapered Tape

Tapered Tape

Tapered Tape

(OP)
I am looking for Tapered tape of film with a adhesive back. Aprox. 1.25" wide and .012 thick  at one edge and .001-.002 at the other. the tape would heve to stand 350 Deg F. for 10 hours. Anyone have any ideas??

RE: Tapered Tape

I would think that the adhesive by itself would be thicker than .002". Does the strip have to be non-metallic? If the length isn't critical and metal can be used, you may be able to have the metal strip surface ground to the correct taper, although the thin end, with adhesive, will probably be .003-.004, IMO.

RE: Tapered Tape

The length would have to be 480 inches or so. And it would have to stay in place at temperatures of 350 deg. F
