AutoCAD 2005 to 2000I viewports

AutoCAD 2005 to 2000I viewports

AutoCAD 2005 to 2000I viewports

(OP)
I have an AutoCAD 2005 files with paperspace viewports.  When I save the file down to AutoCAD 2000i, the viewports wipepout the paperspace information (i.e. notes, dimensions, etc.)  Any new information I try to put on top of it is hidden also.

I have the tried the bringing to front and sending to back in both versions but no luck.  Also tried creating new viewports in 2000i, no luck there either.  Keep getting the same problem.

Any suggestions from the guru's out there?
Thanks in advance.

RE: AutoCAD 2005 to 2000I viewports

I would check your plot settings tab (make sure "Plot paperspace last" is checked)

CHSPACE @ command line (with express tools loaded) should change from paper to model, so they will print

hope this helps

Sorry forgot to mention that it's printing just fine, the problem is on the screen.  The viewports are hiding the paperspace dimensions and text.

RE: AutoCAD 2005 to 2000I viewports

What happens if you put the viewports themselves on a layer and then try freezing or change the visibility?

RE: AutoCAD 2005 to 2000I viewports

check your system tab in options dialog

make sure "Regen when swithching layouts" is checked

hope this helps
