dimensioning edges in assy dwg

dimensioning edges in assy dwg

dimensioning edges in assy dwg

(OP)
I have 2 bricks, both bricks have all edges filleted and are constrained in the assembly to be side by side (touching).
when I make a drawing it shows the top view of the bricks side by side, I can dimension to the outer edges but not the inner edge where to two bricks touch.
Any Ideas?

RE: dimensioning edges in assy dwg

Try using the SELECTION FILTER (f5).
As a last resort you can highlight these edges & convert them to sketch elements in your drawing - then you'll be able to dimention to them.
SolidWorks still lacks a few bells & whistles as a drafting tool & sometimes it don't work like it should.

Depending on your sketch you could also "Show" the sketch and dimension it, then turn the sketch back off.

If you can select an outer edge, you should  be able to select the inner (tangent) edge. There is no filter for tangent /non-tangent edges ... just edges.

Have you tried zooming in & selecting the edge?
