Ideas Needed!!

Ideas Needed!!

Ideas Needed!!

(OP)
I'm taking my FIRST Inventor course online and I have a project that consist of creating an object that can be found around the house or work place. I've seen the samples in Inventor 10 and they range from scissors to as complex as an engine. Right now i'm all out of ideas and I can't think of anything other than toe nail clippers and sunglasses!! Requirements are at least 5 components, drivability (some sort of movement) and using advanced features (welds, sweeps, revolutions, ribs).

Any ideas would be awesome. Thanks!

how about a desk lamp?

RE: Ideas Needed!!

Or a stapler.

The challenge would be to have it function correctly (compress the paper, and then force the staple). Contact solver should make that work....you might be able to use "gravity" to get it to open back up after a staple is placed.
Even go nuts and have an adaptive staple!
