Hip Roof Truss Bracing

Hip Roof Truss Bracing

(OP)
I'm a bit new at this. Does a step down hip roof truss system ever need longitudinal bracing or is it self braced?

Thanks.

RE: Hip Roof Truss Bracing

In a step down hip system,
the top chord is typically braced by the applied roof sheathing with no additional bracing needed, except that individual webs may require to be braced per the design.

Thanks.
