V5 Adding new parts to a view

V5 Adding new parts to a view

V5 Adding new parts to a view

(OP)
Hello
My model is a complete assembly all in a CATPart. In my drawing I have a view into which I want to add a new part. I have tried to use 'view-modify links' but this only seems to allow removal of items. Can anyone tell me how to add a part.
Thanks in advance

RE: V5 Adding new parts to a view

have you added your model into your Catpart?  is it not just a case of then updating the view you want to add your new model into.  You can lock your other views if you don't want that part to appear in them.

my Catpart is supplied by the customer and has a new detail in it which replaces another part. I created the original view by selected only those items I wanted in the catpart. The new part replaces one of those parts.

RE: V5 Adding new parts to a view

You can add by switching to the CATPart and selecting the Body you want to add then switch back to the drawing, your selection should appear in the dialog box, then select Add All.

Thank you very much. I think this will prove to be a useful function
