Pulsation dampener of reciprocating pump
(OP)
Hello everyone,
Anyone can tell me how to design sizing of pulsation dampener installed between engine and pump of reciprocation pump?

Your posted query indicates to me that you are somewhat confused. I assume that when you say "between engine and pump", that you are talking about a reciprocating pump which is driven by an engine. It is the reciprocating pump which is the source of the pulsations ... not the engine drive. You would not install a pulsation dampener between the engine and the pump ... in fact, it would not be possible to do so. You would install a pulsation dampener on the discharge of the reciprocating pump to absorb the pressure shocks created by the reciprocating pump.
I suggest that you do a Google search on "pump pulsation dampeners" and you'll find many vendors who specialize in designing and selling such dampeners. I would not advise you to try it yourself.

RE: Pulsation dampener of reciprocating pump
With a small valve dampener in series I have peak to peak pulsation no more then 3-5% of the range.

RE: Pulsation dampener of reciprocating pump
My application is also demanding:
I have to pump a mixture with a lot of solids from level 0 to level 4 (around 12 mts).

How do you achieve such good results with your dampener?
Do you have an independent compressed air source different from the pump, that is, you can control the pressure of the dampener independently of the pressure that you give to the pump?
