Flatten Helical sweep

(OP)

How do you create a flat pattern of / flatten a helical sweep with constant or variable pitch in Wildfire 2 ??

RE: Flatten Helical sweep

AFAIK, this is not possible, since it is bent in 2 directions. There is a "deform area" tool but even if you end up making it work, don't count on the results being accurate.

*Unless* it is a helical sweep where the broad surface of the sheetmetal is parallel to the axis (i.e. like a spiral tube). Then you should be able use the unbend all or flat pattern tool.
