Nastran MPC Forces - how to list?

Nastran MPC Forces - how to list?

(OP)
Hello, I am currently trying to output MPC forces at an RBE2 element in one of my models. In the Analysis->Case Control window I have activated both the MPC force and the Constraint eqns option. When I try to list the output selecting Nastran MPC forces no values are generated. I am still relatively new to finite element modeling, so could someone tell me what to look for if I have an RBE2 modeled but cannot get MPC force outputs?

Thanks

RE: Nastran MPC Forces - how to list?

what pre/post-processing software are you using? what flavor of Nastran?

I am at a different computer now so I can't check, but MSC Nastran 2003 for Windows...does that answer your question?

RE: Nastran MPC Forces - how to list?

setting MPCFORCE = ALL in the case control section should do it.  Look in the .f06 file for MSC.Nastran or the .out file for NEiNastran.  If this does not work then what is the solution are you running?  Can you post back your .dat or .nas input file from the top to the BEGIN BULK command?

I didn't think of checking the .F06 file, I'll take a look at that and let you know. Thanks.

RE: Nastran MPC Forces - how to list?

Or GPFO=all (I would use the GPFO(PLOT)=all) then in PATRAN you can postprocess using the freebody results
