I need to differentiate between;
   'Hatelloy C' and 'Hastelloy C'.

Would appreciate all the assistance I can get.

Regards,
langahl

RE: High temperature corrosion resistant metals.

Hastelloy C An International Nickel co. alloy having a nominal composition of nickel (Ni) 59%; iron (Fe) 5%; molybdenum (Mo) 16%; tungsten (W) 4%; chromium (Cr) 16%.

honestly, doing a web search yields very few hits for hatelloy and i'm beginning to wonder if "hatelloy" is a common typo for "hastelloy."

RE: High temperature corrosion resistant metals.

I believe the difference is tha "Hatelloy C" is a typographical error, whereas Hastelloy C is not.

This message is for 'butelja' and 'jdsewell'.

At first I thought it was a typo, I review project submittals - the client is asking for Hastelloy C and the contractor is providing Hatelloy. In checking on the 'net'
I actually found Hatelloy mentioned (not too much data, thus the question and post) Check and read http://okurain.hoops.ne.jp/

Let me know what you think.

langahl

RE: High temperature corrosion resistant metals.

As the above web page contains a number of other typo's I suggest HatelloyC is also a typo.
