Rubber and hot Sodium Nitrate

Rubber resistant to Sodium Nitrate ?
We need to line a mild steel tank to contain thisliquid at temperature which ranges up to 80 Dec C maximum.  My "suitable rubber charts" show all commonly met esastomers to be all ok up to 60 Deg C but no more info above this temp. Please has anyone first hand experience of  either neoprene, hypalon, or butyle for this duty.  At present we seriously thinking of using a Derekane resin brush coat - - maybe 1 to 2 mm thick but our experience says beware of such linings for cycling high temp duty because they eventually separate from the vessel wall allowing this nasty chemical to cause corrosion cracking very early in  vessel life. All comments much appreciated. Thanks    DW

RE: Rubber and hot Sodium Nitrate

Have you considered EPDM (ethylene-propylene-diene termomomer)?  The resistance guide I have rates it "A" in solution up to 200 deg F (93 deg C).
