Refining Mesh

Refining Mesh

Refining Mesh

(OP)
I am trying to refine the mesh on the current model. I have some constraints/loads (i.e. FSI, pressure) on the structure and surrounding fluid. But whenever I try to refine the mesh, ANSYS asks me to remove the loads/constraints. I was wondering  if there is any way to refine the mesh without removing the loads and redefining them. I guess I can remove the loads and do the remesh and reapply the loads by running the macro. But I was just wondering if there is an efficient way. ANY OPINIONS from MESH MASTERS?

RE: Refining Mesh

The only way to do it is by applying the load(s) to the geometry. That way, regardless of what you do to your mesh, the loads are not affected (as long as you avoid issuing any SBCTRAN commands or such like).

RE: Refining Mesh

The pressure is applied at the nodes on a line separating a cylinder2D/circle into two areas. So I guess it is not possible since the remesh will affect the original number of nodes.
