Ignition Key Lock Units

I know this does not have much to do with automotive, but I hope I can find some help form this section.  I am working on a design for a heavy duty truck steering collum and am trying to make ignition locks an option for my customers.  The problems I am facing is finding a company that would supply these "locks" that I require.  If anyone knows of anyone that makes or sells these "locks" please let me know who and how to contact.  Thus far I have talked with strattec and they reffered me to Vandersteen and Sons.  I don't think they will be able to assist, any ideas?

RE: Ignition Key Lock Units

Key switches are available from switchgear suppliers such as cutler hammer, allen bradley, telemcanique, and others. I think RS Components will have them anywhere in the world at a slightly higher price.

Making the connections secure and tamper proof will need some thought though.

Thank You for that information, however it is not quite what I am looking for.  What I am looking for are companies that make the actual unit, so when you pull your key out of the ignition, you can't turn the wheel.  I know of 4, but they all keep giving me the run around.  Those four are Vandersteen and Sons, Altec, HUF, and Tokorika.....

RE: Ignition Key Lock Units

You might try the motorcycle parts suppliers. I bought a switch with retracting lock pin through K&L ( a m/cycle parts distributor) that was reasonable. It uses the round cylinder type key. Obviously the steering shaft has to have the slot milled into it.
