Comparison of AGMA 2000 and ISO 1328

Comparison of AGMA 2000 and ISO 1328

(OP)
I realise that there are differences which make a one to one comparison of the accuracy requirements of these two standards difficult but can anybody recommend a basic publised comparison table?

RE: Comparison of AGMA 2000 and ISO 1328

From the KISSOFT gear design program manual available at:

http://www.kisssoft.ch/english/manual/chap19.html#tth_sEc19.3.3

Tooth quality according to ISO 1328
The tooth quality according to ISO 1328 is about the same quality as in DIN 3961 or BS 433/2.
The following qualities are achievable:
Manufacturing method  Quality
 Grinding  2 ... 7
 Chafing   5 ... 7
 Planing  (5)6 ... 9
 Milling  (5)6 ... 9
 Ramming  (5)6 ... 9
 Slotting, Sintering  8 ... 12

Converting qualities according to AGMA:
Quality according to ISO  according to AGMA 390.03
           1                                  15
           2                                  14
           3                                  13
           4                                  12
           5                                  11
           6                                  10
           7                                   9
           8                                   8
           9                                   7
           10                                  6
           11                                  5

AGMA 2000 tolerances are identical to AGMA 390.03
