Peer-to-Peer Network Backup

Peer-to-Peer Network Backup

Peer-to-Peer Network Backup

(OP)
I am running a peer-to-peer network of around 20 PC's, but when it comes to backing up the machines I am having to do it manually using Windows Explorer onto 2gb Jazz cartridges, about 4 pc's to a cartridge.

All of the Data to be backed up is kept in a single shared folder on each PC.

Does anyone know of a utility/product that can at least semi-automatically do this? i.e. establishing a network connection and bringing across the modified data dependant on what cartidge is in the drive.

RE: Peer-to-Peer Network Backup

The Veritas Backup will do backups across the network and can be scheduled (it uses the MS Scheduler) and you can define different backup schemes.  Used to be Seagate, now Veritas (www.veritas.com).  I am using it at a remote office for a "local server" where everyone saves their files to a single computer on the network, though it will backup network folders.
