cumulated dimension problem
cumulated dimension problem
(OP)
Hello all,
I have a problem with my cumulated dimensions. Recently we were assigned new windows user profiles and I think this has led to the software returning to its defualt settings.
Previously I could delete an individual dimension that was created as part of a cumulated group of dimensions. My problem is that since the system change when I try to delete one cumulated dimension the whole group gets deleted.
I have searched the tools .. options area to find a setting that may stop this happening but can't seem to find anything.
Does anyone know how I can change this?
Thanks.

RE: cumulated dimension problem
In answer to your question I am currently using V5R14 SP4. I would be interested to hear more about dimension systems if you would like to go into more detail?
Also If you use the same release as me does your computer allow you to erase individual dims created as a group using the cumulated dimension function?
Thanks.
RE: cumulated dimension problem
The button at right on Tools toolbar is 'Dimension system selection mode'. It can be switched On/Off.
If its On you can delete only complete group of dimensions. If the button is Off you can delete individual dims from group.
RE: cumulated dimension problem
Thats exactly what I was looking for. I didn't even know about the existance of that button - I'll bet I barely use 20% of the functoins in V5, it's almost too powerful!
I guess it was always OFF under my old profile - and the new profile re-set it to ON, simple when you know how!
Thanks for the help - I'm off to let the other guys in the office know, they'll think I'm a V5 expert!! ;)
