Letter blindness

Letter blindness

Letter blindness

(OP)
The recent word blindness thread reminded me of this little jem.  I'm not sure of the original source, I beleive it was an exercise in an ASQ seminar attended by a collegue.

Inspection Quiz

Your job is to inspect the sentence for the number of "F"s.  Inspect the sentence 100%, one time (not over and over).

Post your answer.

I'll post the correct answer in a few days.

Quote (Inspect this sentence):

FINICKY FELINES ARE THE RESULT OF YEARS OF SCIENTIFIC BREEDING, COMBINED WITH YEARS OF EXPERIENCE.

The orginal intent of the exercise was to point out that you shouldn't trust 100% inspection.

RE: Letter blindness

I've seen this one, or something similar, before. (That is, except for those invisible "F"s.) I'll be a good boy and not spoil it for everybody else...

RE: Letter blindness

5?

RE: Letter blindness

oops. it is 6

RE: Letter blindness

Six "F"?

I am terribly sorry. Is there something missing in this quiz? Are we supposed to see an "F" structure in the graphics? There are two lines forming the two "arms" of an F, but I cannot see the vertical line - the "pole".

What is the secret? Why shouldn't 100 pecent inspection work?

You really got me there.

RE: Letter blindness

Find the spelling error(s) in the above posting - do it by 100 percent inspection.

Why my track record I haven’t a hope.

RE: Letter blindness

Incredible! How did you do that?

RE: Letter blindness

It a technique used to hide answers to puzzle type questions, so that anyone who wishs to work on the puzzle can read the entire thread, yet not see other peoples answers, unless they want to.  Try to keep in fun for everyone, and not a race to see who can answer first.

The TGML sequence is as follows:
[code][white]This is my puzzle answer[/white][/code]
and it shows as

CODE

This is my puzzle answer

RE: Letter blindness

That is too cool!

RE: Letter blindness

It is cool! If I can only get it to work in emails...
