Weld type

(OP)
I'm searching a good website to know everything about all welds type, configuration and properties. Specialy those involved in pressure vessels welding.

I know its quite "futile", but I've just start working as engineer this week!!

Thanks

RE: Weld type

For welds on pressure vessels, you are best to refer to ASME Sect VI (specifically Parts UW and UG)

RE: Weld type

Try; ASME B&PV Code, Section VIII, Div 1 Part UW

For additional background, I would recommend the CASTI books on Section VIII pressure vessels;

http://www.casti.ca/

Also, if you are further interested, there are several excellent resource books to purchase on pressure vessels;

1. The ASME Code Simplified "Pressure Vessels" by R. Chuse and B Carson (an excellent book on code rules with an in-depth section on welding).

2. Pressure Vessel Design Handbook by H. Bednar

RE: Weld type

To piggy back on metengr's suggestion...

3. Pressure Vessel Handbook by Eugene F. Megyesy

is another good resource for pressure vessels and has information in it relevant to welds/welding for pressure vessels.
