Hello all!

I have a problem with V5 R14. The problem is that during a save management operation on large assemblys a window appears in the top left of the catia window depicting each .catpart as it saves. This has the undesirable effect of ruining the graphic display of the session which needs to be closed and started again before work can be resumed.

Does anyone know how I can stop this irritating little window from popping up? Sometimes V5 is just to clever for its own (and my) good!

RE: Catparts appear in window during save.

What SP?  We are not seeing that in R14SP5.

Hi Jim,

Just checked the software manager window and it appears the version of catia we use is:

build level - B14
service pack level - 4

Apparantly although this seems like a bug it is possible to de activate the save window, unfortunately the staff member who had the knowledge to do so no longer works here.

By the way how are you finding SP5? I'd heard it was safer to stick to SP4 as SP5 has too many bugs.

Cheers!

Sounds to me like a Graphics Card problem.  Are you running on a Certified Platform with Certified Drivers?  Or at least a Certified Graphics Card?  If so, submit a PMR.
