Handling of Polyethylene Slurry

Handling of Polyethylene Slurry

(OP)
Hi

I am looking for any information about polyethylene slurry. We are looking to supply valves into this service and I would like to know about its physical properties and any experiences that anyone else has had in handling this product.

My brief web search has shown that it can become 'lumpy'.

The basic information that I have is that the temperature is around ambient, but design conditions can be 0 to 180°C and the line pressure is around 1000 kPa. Not much to go on, it would appear!

Cheers.
