Cable Analysis using Staad Pro

Cable Analysis using Staad Pro

Cable Analysis using Staad Pro

(OP)
Is there any body to help me to conduct the structural analysis for single cable with fixed end support using STAAD Pro?

My questions are

1. in 'geometry', how to input the geometry of cable?
in 'member specification cable', how to get the initial tension force?

Before running the analysis, we could not get the sag of cable and internal tensile forces.

Any how, if  we got the initial tension and sag, how to input the geometry of catenary cable?

2. in 'perfome anlysis', how to avoid the instability? is it required to run 'perform cable analysis'? in this case, is it specified 'unstressed length' without initial tension?

if you have some idea, let me know. thanks
