AB Activation

Guys,

Just got a shiny new laptop that came without a floppy drive….anyone have any ideas how I can get the AB activation file onto the new machine?

Would a USB key work or do I need to get a floppy drive?

Cheers

RE: AB Activation

Hi

As I understand it, it probably is possible to use a USB key but it is also probably in breach of the license agreement.

RE: AB Activation

You can move the activations to a network drive and use them there.  In fact if you use a thumb drive you have to map it so it looks like a network drive.

You can get activation help from AB tech support.

Hope this helps.

RE: AB Activation

Why not buy a USB floppy drive for around £20?

RE: AB Activation

just had the same problem. You can use a memory stick on a computer with a floppy. move the activation file to the memory stick and then move it to your new laptop.

sorry, should have let you know ages ago....

you can use a flash drive but you need to get a couple of little programs from the AB website

RE: AB Activation

USB floppy works just fine!
