iges wireframe V5R13

iges wireframe V5R13

iges wireframe V5R13

(OP)
I'm having trouble when exporting an iges file from V5.  Everything works ok, except that the resulting wireframe has every element duplicated on top of each other.  Under "options/compatibility/iges/export/representation mode" the setting is wireframe.  Everything but the solid is in no show when I save as iges.  Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Greg

RE: iges wireframe V5R13

I think the problem is not in Iges perhaps you should check your geometry in v5 you might have the duplicate geometry in there.
My tip would be to extract your geometry in v5 first to get rid of all the history and then export it to iges because iges won't support the history anyway.

RE: iges wireframe V5R13

To add to what JuhaEdag said, make a "dumb" solid, and delete everything else.  This is probably the quickest way.  In case you don't know how this is done, CTRL+C to copy the PartBody, and then "Paste Special..." --> "As Result."  Hide the resulting body, and delete everything else.  Export it to IGES again.

I would agree that your problem is definitely in your historical geometry, based on the information that you've given.
