Hmm.  Only Rutan's crew is very familiar to me.  I know of Moser, but thought he'd retired years ago... oh, it seems he did.

In terms of cost, it looks like they are still talking around $10000 per lb. to LEO.  Still cheaper than other systems, mainly because they are focusing only on manned LEO missions.

Hmm, digging deeper, their engine design spec's are kinda cute.  Need to look up Orion and find out what the chamber pressure is.  I know Don Nyberg, the inventor & patent holder (along with Rocketdyne) of the "pintle" injector, personally; wonder if they paid him any royalties for using it (doubt it, it's more than 20 years old by now).
