gravity

gravity

(OP)
Hi,

I'm using standard to simulate how a bowl of gel deforms under its own weight.  I defined the contact between these two as frictional BC.  I don't understand why I get some very strange result -- the deformed gel has part "outside" the bowl container, something not physically possible.  Does anyone have any idea what might be wrong?  Thanks!

RE: gravity

Before we can suggest a possible remedy or potential problem, you'll need to describe exactly how you're modelling this.

RE: gravity

Initially you may have had one surface outside the other and without using *adjust this will remain so. Otherwise it could be that some nodes have passed through the slave surface (or is it master?).
