Distance Between Faces

Distance Between Faces

Distance Between Faces

(OP)
In S-E v15 I was able to place a part in an assembly by selecting a face of the part, and one of the base reference planes, and specify a distance.

I'm using S-E v17 here, and I'm forgetting what settings aren't allowing me to select a base reference plane in this placement.

The base component of the assembly is properly placed at the origin of the 3 primary base planes. I have a 2nd component in the assembly, that I want to position a face of parallel to the vertical base plane, at a specified distance.

Thanks-
C. Fee

RE: Distance Between Faces

Have you turned off 'use reduced steps' in assembly options?
-this may help...
