Any such thing as METRIC pipe couplings?

Any such thing as METRIC pipe couplings?

Any such thing as METRIC pipe couplings?

(OP)
Hey,

I'm working on a job that is calling for a half coupling that is M20 x 2.5 with a plug.  This would imply that it is a metric pipe size.  Is there metric pipe?  I know that you can get fasteners in this size and pitch without a problem but I can't find anything for couplings?

thanks
Ken

RE: Any such thing as METRIC pipe couplings?

Ken-

They're just messing with you! Ok, not really. Take a look at the 2001 edition of B16.11. For example, paragraph 3.1 tells you that a DN (nominal size) 20 corresponds to a NPS 3/4".
