There are a fairly new feature of the site, they have existed since September 2004.  This is called "key word advertising", Eng-Tips makes a bit of income if they are clicked.  Just another method to provide this site for free.

Unrelated or bogus links should be reported to Site Admins using the Contact Us link in the upper-right.
