Assembly contact constraint CATIA V5R15 SP1

Assembly contact constraint CATIA V5R15 SP1

Assembly contact constraint CATIA V5R15 SP1

(OP)
I have a simple assembly of a head pin on a flat plate.  The constraints are 1) axis coincidence 2) contact.  Depending on which side of the plate the pin is there is a error on update.  I have tried the same scenario in V5R13 SP3 and there is no problem.

The only way I was able to make it work in V5R15 SP1 is by changing the type of feature that was used to create the geometry of the pin.

1) Extrusion on which the body of the pin was created by a groove: ERROR on update

2) Head of pin: extrusion, body: smaller extrusion : ERROR on update

3) Head and body : 1 revolution: NO ERROR

Anyone else had this problem ? Is there something I can do to prevent this error ?

Thanks

I'd never use a beta copy of V5. Those daily builds aren't very stable or consistent. You sure it's 5.15.1?

^^ Never mind. I wasn't aware that 15 was GA.

In any case, early service packs have the same problems.

I generally wait until 5, or so, and now that SP1 is release-level, I would wait until 6.
