Diming drawings of lofts???

Diming drawings of lofts???

Diming drawings of lofts???

(OP)
Hey everyone I'm new to the foum looking forward to spending some time on here.

Im a fresh graduate from UF and my company has me making some 2d drawings of some solid models that were rendered with SW. Im a proE guy my self thats what I used through out school. I like SW but some time its smartness gets in the way. Its like those wizards on word that assume evereything to much.

Im having trouble diming it out it comes up with an error when ever i try to use the smart dim tool in the drawing mode on the loft areas. I could do it in proE but the company only uses SW. Ive run through all the tutorials they help but not with this issue.
Thanks in advanced!

RE: Diming drawings of lofts???

Why don't you just turn Auto Dimensioning on when you place the view onto the drawing?

I Tired using the file in SW06 with AutoDimensions (When i place the file into a drawing) and the Dimensions worked better then they did in SW05.

SW05 will not dimension the Top view, where SW06 will.

Otherwise I don't see a problem - Try using Insert\Model items instead.
