Small DC Motors

Small DC Motors

(OP)
Greetings All,
I’m looking for information about small DC brush commutated motors.  By small I mean; Fractional HP, Less than 75mm diameter, Iron Core, Coreless, Precious Metal brushes, Graphite (and its variations) brushes, etc.  My interest is in the design, control, and the application of this type of motor.  Most of the text available and threads on this site address larger motors.  I have the following text:

The Design of Small Direct-Current Motors – Puchstein, 1961
Design Handbook for PM Motors and Tachometers – Perrine, 1999
Handbook of Small Electric Motors – Yeadon, 2001
Permanent Magnet and Brushless DC Motors – Kenjo, 1984
Electric Motors and Their Controls – Kenjo, 1991
DC Motors and Generators – Hancock, 1941
Design of Small Motors Part I & II – Stoller, 1920
Physical Properties of Small DC Motors Using Ironless Rotor – Jucker, 1974
Principles and Properties of Highly Dynamic DC Miniature Motors – Stemme & Wolf, 1994

I would like information about available text, web sites, etc.  Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance……

RE: Small DC Motors

Mabuchi has conglobated the Graupner electric motors' division; I remember Graupner manufactured very good small (up to 150 - 200 W I think) DC motors mainly for RC models. You could have a look on their website

Thanks to everyone...
skogsgurra,
These are indeed good sources.  The last two text that I mention are the Porescap and Maxon design guides.

itsmoked,
Yes I have done quite an extensive web search.  It's amazing how much information the model/hobby people share.

sreid,
Thanks for the text, I've ordered a copy.

cloche,
Thanks for the input, I'm familar with Mabuchi and the products they offer.  They are indeed in the range that I'm interested in.  I've also experimented with Cannon, Sayama, Fuji and some others.
