textscan and floating point values

(OP)
Hello, I am using textscan to read in a .csv file. I have read the file in successfully, but there is a floating point value such as 12.345678 that is not read in it's entirety. Is this a limitation of textscan?

What is stored is 12.345. I need all of the precision in the number.

When I read in the file, I use textscan(fileid,'%f %f','delimiter',',').

I have tried using %2.6f in textscan, but I still only get 12.345 returned when I use textscan.

The reason that I like textscan is because of the speed at which it reads files. I am open to suggestions of other functions that will allow me to read the entire value.

Thanks for the help.
