Gear to Increase RPM to engage a clutch Brake

(OP)
We have a piece of equipment we are workin on that we are trying to add a brake to. I have a clutch that will engage at 350 RPM however the driving mechanisim will only rotating at around 48 rpm. I was going to use sprockets and chain but am wondering if this is the best method.

From what I have figured this will have 300 in/lbs of torque . Any ideas on where I can learn more about this type of setup.

Thanks
