Pipe losses

(OP)
I am looking for good free download program for calculating pipe losses and also some information where I can find physical parameters of fluid (viscosity).
Thank you very much in advance.

RE: Pipe losses

Google for pressure drop calculator. Hint: The first link is the best link.

Also click on the link which speaks about carf-engineering.

RE: Pipe losses

you could try the free version of our pressure drop calculator FNESS (limited version). Just go to www.figener.com.br

In the very first page there is a link to the direct download (English or Portuguese). The free version allows you to model a system with up to 15 nodes. A node is understood as bifurcartion point or as a boundary point. Between two nodes you can insert as many elements as you wish (straight pipes, reducers, valves, elbows, etc)

FNESS handles closed loops networks easily by the finite element scheme.

Properties of water/steam by IFC 67 is included
Other circa 15 (? - I really don't know) pure substances are also included

Hope it helps
