"Cyclic dependancies"----------Whaaaaa??

"Cyclic dependancies"----------Whaaaaa??

(OP)
I imagine that "cyclic dependancies" in Inventor are like block references in autocad when the message comes back, " block references itself".
However, all i am trying to do is to place one complete, resolved, saved assembly into another in order to check interference. i get an error message saying that the operation (placing the part) is not supported because of cyclic dependancies in the assembly.
WHY? why ? why?
What does this really mean? and how can i get my assemblies together to check functionality.

RE: "Cyclic dependancies"----------Whaaaaa??

Are you basing adaptive geometry from one off the other?  Are there derived parts from one assembly residing in another that s being inserted into the first?
