CRN question

CRN question

CRN question

(OP)
This may be a basic question, and I am used to having people around with more experience than me to answer these, so bear with me please.

If I have a CRN for an expansion tank that is 30" OD x 72" S/S can I use that CRN for a new expansion tank that is identical in all other ways except that it is 90 S/S?

Thank you

RE: CRN question

Don't think so. Check Quebec's web site, they have the Code on line.

RE: CRN question

Each design requires a review, and if aproved receives a CRN.  If you have duplicate, identical vessels one CRN is issued, but if they're different you'll have to submit drawings, calcs, etc. for review.  I'm referring to BC requirements, but, you should check with the particular province, it's going in to.

That's what I thought, my boss seems to think otherwise, sigh.

RE: CRN question

... your boss must be thinking on those CA $'s about 650.- of them.
I do not see another choice but to pay.

ER

RE: CRN question

Yeah but that's what about $ 25. US ?

RE: CRN question

I just spoke to our design registration office, and had this been a vertical vessel, I would have been able to use the CRN as it stands, as it is a Horizontal vessel, they wish to see revised saddle calculations only and will register the additional length as an option to the existing CRN.
