SW 2006 PreRelease Candidate 1 is out....

RE: SW 2006

Tried out the new 3D sketch tool.  One interesting thing is that their are a few nay-sayers here who believe 2 parallel lines can not make a plane.  This first pic shows 2 lines being picked for a new sketch plane.  Too bad making planes isn't as easy with the regular Planes tool.

I'm glad arcs can now be created in 3D Sketches.

Also, if you look at the 2nd picture:  By moving the front view, the top and right views stay aligned with it (like drawing views).

Same here.

RE: SW 2006

I'm going to wait until SP1 comes out!

RE: SW 2006

With the subscription modivation for them to get a version out every year, I suspect the rule needs to be modified.  Perhaps a rule like, if it is an odd numbered year, then the even numbered SP's are the good ones.  If its an even year, the the odd SP numbers are good.

I prefered the good old days with Autodesk, when it was simply odd number release = bad release. Much easier to keep track of.

RE: SW 2006

In the "good old days" with Autodesk, it was easier to keep track of because the software you had was either very cheap or was an illegal copy.
